Biography
Position: Professor of Entomology; Department of Entomology; University of California, Riverside.
Education: A.B. 1963 (Zoology), Humboldt State University, Arcata, CA. Ph.D. 1968 (Entomology), University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois.
Recent teaching responsibilities: Systematic Entomology; Insect Taxonomy; Insect Morphology; Immature Insects.
Research Interests: 1) Systematics of the Meloidae
(Coleoptera) with emphasis on the taxonomic utility of courtship
behavior and revisionary studies of North American taxa (since 1963).
Currently pursuing studies on the phylogeny of the family and
preparing an annotated key to the world genera. 2) Systematics of the
Trichogrammatidae (Hymenoptera) with emphasis on the genus
Trichogramma (since 1976). Currently preparing a revision of
the genus Trichogramma for North and Central America.
