1) Systematics of the Meloidae (Coleoptera) with emphasis on the taxonomic utility of courtship behavior and revisionary studies of North American taxa (since 1963). Currently pursuing studies on the phylogeny of the family and preparing an annotated key to the world genera. 2) Systematics of the Trichogrammatidae (Hymenoptera) with emphasis on the genus Trichogramma (since 1976).
