Author's biography
Born 1939; Ph.D. in genetics; postdoctoral work on genetic methods
for control of tsetse flies; 3 years in India working for World
Health Organization on genetic control methods for mosquitoes; based
at London School of Hygiene & Tropical
Medicine since 1976, with field work mainly in Tanzania on use of
impregnated bednets for Anopheles control and polystyrene
beads for control of Culex larvae; additional field work in
Sri Lanka, China and Venezuela.
