Charles (Chuck) Doane received a B.S.A. from Ontario Agricultural College in 1949 followed by an MS and Ph.D. in entomology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. While at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven he conducted research on forest pest insects and specialized in insect pathology and pheromones with emphasis on the gypsy moth. <P> Since 1977 he has been involved with research and commercial development of pheromones. He has developed a number of products for control of a wide number of crop pests, especially the pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella. He is CEO of PheroGuard Consusltants Inc., a company that designs, develops and manufactures pheromone products.
